Feel like an alternative to the Camino?
Join me for this guided 90-km/ 56-mile slow stroll along the stunning Southern coastline of the island of Menorca.
Menorca is the third largest island in the Balearic archipelago after Mallorca and Ibiza. It is a small piece of unspoiled paradise.
This walk will take you along some of the most breathtaking white sandy beaches, private rocky calas with crystal clear turquoise waters and of course the stunning green forest and the islands luscious pastures dotted with inquisitive Menorcan sheep.
For those history buffs out there, Menorca is steeped in history, its bronze age past is still evident with its famous Talyot sites and we mustn´t forget the incredible Isabel II Mola fortress which was built built in the 19th century to keep the British at bay. This imposing fort located at the entrance of the port is a must see. You can do a self-guided tour with audio in English. A possible activity for one of our afternoons here.
Menorca also has one of the longest natural harbors in the world. It is 5 kilometers (3 miles) long and is lined with a wide variety of buzzing international restaurants and Cafes to suit everyone’s taste. I challenge you to walk the whole length and back.
Finally, I will regale you with some of the most amazing myths and legends that have been passed down from generation to generation. You won´t believe it.
Those of you who know me, know that I love slow strolls. I just think that if you are going to travel halfway across the world to somewhere you have never visited before then you have to make the most of it. Take photos, chill on the beach, visit historical sites, soak up the atmosphere and really enjoy being in nature.

How To Get To Mahon (MAO)
You can fly directly into mahon airport via Barcelona and Madrid(Mao). Most flights from other countries will change in Spain. Menorca is a small island so the main airlines that fly onto the island will be Spanish ones such as Iberia and Vueling. I would recommend using omio.com or some thind similar to plan your travel.
